How do I apply for OZ Moot?
Applying for OZ Moot is simple – just open up the applications system and you will be asked to create a username and password. Once that is done you’re ready to start filling in your application.
What happens if I don’t have all the information I need with me when I apply?
No problems! My Moot asks you to save the information you have entered before you log out so you can always log back in and continue your application at a later stage.
I am too old to attend OZ Moot as a Rover – how do I apply to go as staff?
Everyone who wants to attend OZ Moot must follow the online application process. Make sure you select the type of staff you would like to be and continue your application. You will have an opportunity to give preferences to the job you would like to have during OZ Moot, plus nominate the expedition your want to go on.
Do I need to print out the form once I have finished?
Your application is automatically entered into the OZ Moot database as you apply. You will only be allocated into an expedition once your Contingent Leader has approved you and you ‘submit’ your application. When you turn up to OZ Moot on the 30th December 2010, you will be asked to check over your details and provide your autograph then.
How will my application get approved?
Your Contingent Leader has the ability to check who has started their application on My Moot. Once you have completed the first page of information, your Contingent Leader will check with their Branch Headquarters that your name, date of birth and crew/formation are correct. If you are a registered member of your Scout Branch at the time then you will be approved. Only people with approved applications will be placed into an expedition so start entering in your information now!
What happens if my details change?
If any of your details change, or you want to change your expedition preference, then you just need to log into My Moot with your username and password and update that information. Remember to save each page.
Can I change my expedition preferences?
Sure! Simply log into My Moot with your username and password and make any changes to your expedition preferences. Only completed applications that have been approved by a Contingent Leader will be allocated an expedition – first in, first serve. Remember that once expeditions start getting allocated you run the risk of not getting into your preferred activity.
